How to get started

Setting up for the first time:

  1. Register cbpress to enable your ClickBank affiliate ID on hoplinks
  2. Import the ClickBank Marketplace feed
  3. setup a wordpress page with a [cbpress] shortcode
  4. Add the category widget to your theme sidebar (optional)

Registration

Gain access to updates, tech support and Enable your ClickBank Affiliate ID on hoplinks within your blog.

You need two things: a valid receipt number and a clickbank affiliate ID

Configurations

Full Marketplace

  1. Import the ClickBank Marketplace into your own blog in less than 60 seconds.
  2. Setup a WordPress page with a [cbpress] short code.
  3. And presto, you have the entire ClickBank Marketplace installed on your blog.

The Niche-setup
  1. Cbpress lets you create niche marketplaces. For example, if your site geared towards health and fitness products, you can set the "Health & Fitness" category is the starting point for your marketplace page.
  2. Choose what categories you want to display using the "Category Manager" page.
  3. Create custom marketplace categories
  4. Create custom lists of products

Marketplace Settings

Marketplace page:

This tells cbpress where you've embedded the [cbpress] shortcode. Optionally, you can also create a new page with the shortcode automatically from here:

CBPRESS : settings : system : create page

This also lets related widgets know the URL of marketplace results pages.

Importer Settings

Auto Sync - Product display status:

This will automatically toggle the 'active' column in the products table to keep in sync with the ClickBank XML feed. This is useful because products often go unlisted then later re-appear in ClickBank's Marketplace.

Example Scenario:

Product X was imported into your database from the ClickBank XML feed last week and you can see it on your CBPress marketplace page. Then lets say a few weeks later you import the latest ClickBank XML feed, but this time Product X is not listed. If this option is ENABLED, Product X will be become inactive on your blog to keep in sync with the feed. This option will also re-activate products that were previously inactive

Hoplink Settings

ClickBank TID Tracking:

  • Take advantage of ClickBank's TID tracking feature.
  • You can add a TID in the settings page. Additionally, you can override the global TID on a per product basis.

Other link settings include:

  • Open links in new window
  • Use nofollow in links

Title & Description Settings

We realize many ClickBank vendors write descriptions geared towards attracting affiliates rather than customers. Unfortunately, we have no control over what a vendor decides to write in thier product description. With that being said, here's what Cbpress does to remedy some of these issues:

  • You can limit the number of characters that display under each product listing.
  • You can edit any product title or description using the "Edit Product" button located in the Product Manager page.
  • By default any edits you make will remain intact each time you run the product importer.
  • You can use the "advanced search" to find out what product titles or descriptions have changed

Filter Settings

Filters allow you to set certain criteria for what products display on your marketplace page. Only products matching the following criteria will display.

Set ranges for Gravity, Commission, Ranking and %Referred

  • Choose what categories to display
  • Choose the order in which products appear
  • Enable or disable certain products from appearing

Custom Product Lists

Custom lists give you the ability to easily display subsets of affiliate products within pages, posts, widgets and more

  • Create groups of ClickBank Products you want to promote
  • Place that list on your blog using the Custom List WordPress Widget
  • Put the list in your blog post with a WordPress short-code

Product Summary Box

This displays on the main CBPress admin page.

It gives you a birds eye view running totals about your cbpress installation, number of active products, and other database totals and stats.

Setting the [cbpress] shortcode is easy. In the plugin's admin control panel, you will be prompted to automatically setup a new WordPress page with the [cbpress] short code if you haven't already done so.
